Looking for Home Values, House Prices & Current MLS Properties Listed For Sale 

Homes Sold 2014 NovemberThe REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington (RAHB) reported 1086 property sales through the RAHB Multiple Listing Service®(MLS) system in November which is a slight 1.8% increase compared to November 2013. There was a decrease from last year of 2.1% for the amount of properties listed with the number coming in at 1287 for November 2014. End of month inventory was much lower (12.9% over last November). Average days on the market went from 46 days last November to 40 days this past month. The big number to pay attention to is the average sales price, year to date is 5.8% higher than for the same period last year. Sales are also up by 5.8% year to date over 2013.

Wondering which area to move to in the Greater Hamilton area? Take a peak at the chart below which shows the average Sales Price as well as the number of sales in each of Hamilton Ontario's neighbourhoods. Central Hamilton (Downtown Hamilton) is best for First Time Buyers, or people wanted to buy a second property. Average Price in November 2014 is $207,527 which went up from last Novembers average of $184,334. West Hamilton, perfect for families looking for Victorian style, and other classic homes close to McMaster University, Locke Street Shopping District, Durand and Kirkendall neighborhoods, went from $304,996 average sales price to $405,758 this year! The nearby town of Dundas sits at an average this November of $396,855 up from $357,132 last November. Most sales were in Burlington with 233 this November over 229 last year.Burlington Ontario also holds the highest average sales price at $520,586 for November 2104.
